F.A.Q.

How many images can we expect to receive?
To ensure we never miss a special moment, we will be constantly shooting. Once we edit down to the best of the best, we tend to average approximately 100-150 images per hour for one photographer (add approx. 30% more per additional photographer).

What areas do you shoot in?
We specialize in Southern California weddings; Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego. Services also available for destination & international events.

How much is the deposit?
First payment of 1/2 retainer and signed contract is due to secure your date.  The second final payment of 1/2 is due in full 14 days after your event. If you prefer to space out your payments more, that can be arranged.

How long does it take to get the photos?
Between 5 days and 3 weeks usually. 

What types of payment do you accept?
Zelle (preferred), Venmo, PayPal, credit cards, cash & checks

Do we get the edited full resolution images so I can print them myself?
Absolutely. Although we offer a great option to order prints directly from your online gallery, you get edited full resolution photos and have the ability to print them anywhere you like.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry up to 2 million in liability insurance as required by most of the higher end venues. There shouldn’t be a professional photographer does not have at least some from of liability insurance. It is a requirement of most venues.

Can we add an album later?
Yes, but if you can get an album in the package we highly recommend it.  Most clients that want an album and plan to get one later, never get around to it.  So if you want one, but aren’t sure if you can afford it now, ask about setting up a payment option that can work for you.

Do we get the personal rights to our photos?
Yes! After your session/event you will receive an Online Gallery of your images that you may use for printing, sharing, downloading and personal use such as social networking sites, etc. If you use any of the images online we ask that you credit Pixie Vision Photography with a link back to my site.

Can we really make prints anywhere we want?
Absolutely!  Your event images come with a letter giving you the copyrights to your photos in case you encounter any issues. The letter states you have full access to the images for printing purposes.  The online gallery your images are received on has the ability for printing and they are produced at my amazing professional lab.

How long do family portraits take on the b'nei mitzvah day and when is the best time to do them?
Portraits normally take approximately 1 hour depending upon the number of must-have family formals.  The best time to do these is in the morning for best light and/or before guests arrive for your party.  

How will we know the photography schedule/timeline for the day?
I will send you a Google drive document with your timeline and portrait list that you can make changes to, up until the day before your event.  Once you book me, I am always here along the way and love to be apart of your planning process prior to the final timeline being put into place.

What happens if you’re sick?
In 20 years of shooting events I've only been sick for one event.  If I do get sick, I have 5 backup shooters that I can contact.

What do you wear to an event?
I always wear black so I blend in.
